ARTIST BIO

Ken Tregoning Artist works in Oils, Acrylics, Watercolour,& Carttoonist.

Trained in Graphic Arts & Design, NSW School of Art, Sydney, Swinburne School of Art, Melbourne DipA,CertA&D

Over my 50year career span I have had a wide ranging and interesting shuffle through my life as an Artist in many fields Advertising & Freelance business, worked in many aspects of the Printing Industry and Graphic Design both in Corporate and Private positions, Freelanced as an artist & Advertising, for some of the best Agencies in Victoria.

I Love everything from Photography, through to Computer Graphics, Illustration, Cartooning, Watercolour, Oils, Acrylics, my subjects a wide and varied, I guess that comes from my lifes work and the varied requirements to be met.

These days I paint to suit myself and dabble in mixed mediums and subjects from Lanscapes to Portraits and Life studies, I have and do take select commissions, I consider myself as a realist impressionist, Although I appreciate many forms of Art, it seems I try to restrict myself to my prefered ranges, Yet is seems I am always up to a challenge as some of my commisions would show.

I have Exhibited in many Art Shows over the years, some of them Camberwell, Box Hill, Melbourne, Herald Sun Outdoor, Moomba, and many more, I have sold many yet I limit my works for sale, I can only hope those i sell are loved as much as I enjoyed painting them.

Me being a Melbourne Artist I grew up in Hawthorn and Canterbury, Surrey Hills, moved out to Heathmont then Ringwood North, Now my wife having moved now live in wonderful Bayswater we are settling in and still finding our way in the community, I look forward to more interaction and Shows in the future.

Recently I Entered the Bayswater Rotary Art Show, with two pieces I Sold  one of the first paintings in the Show, it was one of my oils, (Boys in the Dandenong State Forest), purchased by the Mayor of Knox Shire Council, now on display at the Knox shire offices, I am well pleased.
