My artistic pursuits have varied throughout the years evolving from drawing and painting through to textile design, performance art, collage, photography and printmaking. Whilst studying teaching at university, I majored in Visual Art and Design. I exhibited several paintings and performance art videos throughout 2004 - 2007 at Australian Catholic University. My preferred medium for painting is acrylic on canvas or paper. Most of my artwork is inspired by geometric patterns found in natural environments and man-made materials. The power of colour has a large influence on my art making process. I admire the works of many artists including Elizabeth Gower, Ansel Adams and M.C. Escher. |
